I'm very pleased at the results of the DC weekend field trip that Diva's school had for the kids. Although I had my fears and insecurities of sending her away far enough that I cannot jump in the car and rescue her quickly, with strangers, for 3 whole days, I so wanted her to really soak up the learning experience of our great American history.
She did. A few days ago she said to me that she really liked going to DC and she really learned alot. What struck her the most was Arlington Cemetary and also the changing of the guards. She gets it now. She is a proud American.
